- Unplug your laptop.
- Remove the battery from the laptop.
a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol. The cotton swab should be lightly
coated in rubbing alcohol, not dripping wet. Rub the alcohol on the
battery contacts to remove dirt and dust. Clean the contacts in the
battery compartment with the cotton swab.
- Use an alcohol wipe or
a soft cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol to clean the surface of the
battery. Use the cloth to also wipe down the inside of the battery
- Allow the battery to completely air dry before putting it back into place.
